Services for graduate students in the Department of Foreign Languages

In addition to services provided to everyone on campus, graduate students in the department also have access to computers in the GTA office. This document provides information on how to use the computers in the GTA office.

1. Login account and password

Graduate students and adjunct instructors in the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures can use the computers in the GTA office in BDA 318B.

You need an account to login to those computers in the GTA office. Please contact Dr. Jun Da to obtain an account.

2. Secure your personal data/file

When you login to those computers with your own account, it is suggested that you save your personal files onto the server.

Depending on your status (graduate or adjunct), your personal folder may be located at:

You can also type in \\panda\graduate or \\panda\adjunct in the Address bar of Internet Explorer to access your personal folder.

3. Printing

All the computers are connected to the HP printer in the GTA office.  

4. Installing additional software

If you need to install additional software on those computers in the GTA office, make sure that you have obtained proper license first. 

Note that all the computers are secured for public access and you may not be able to install the software you need. Please contact Dr. Jun Da or use this contact form to request assistance.
